Rangers Beat Gibson Southern 20-14

Forest Park opened with a win beating Gibson Southern 20-14. The Rangers never trailed in the game. Senior quarterback Grant Welp started the scoring with a 8 yard run and junior kicker Austin Weyer made the extra point. In the 2nd quarter Grant Welp passed to junior wide receiver Kyle Schwinghamer for a 62-yard touchdown pass and senior kicker Dakota Begle with the extra point. In the 4th quarter Welp passed to Schwinghamer for a 8-yard touchdown pass. The Ranger defense held the Titans to hold on for the victory. In addition junior wide receiver Ben Braunecker was nominated for News 25 Home Team Friday's 25 Play of the Night.
