Rangers beat Tell City in Class 2A Sectional 42-27

The Rangers won their first football sectional game on Friday, October 22nd by outplaying the Tell City Marksman on both sides of the ball. Great team effort and win. Junior wide receiver Ben Braunecker started the scoring by rushing for a 3 yard touchdown. Senior quarterback Grant Welp connected to senior wide receiver Kyle Schwinghamer for a 35 yard touchdown pass. Freshman kicker Dakota Begle converted the extra point. Welp got a TD for himself rushing for a 21 yard touchdown.

Sophomore running back Travis Schnell got in on the scoring by running for a 3 yard touchdown and several minutes later he ran for another 2 yard touchdown as well as succesfully running for 2 point conversion. Schnell continued the ground and pound attack with a third touchdown run and Senior kicker Gina Bettag completed the evening by converting the extra point kick.
