Rangers Lose to Heritage Hills 21-27

Forest Park jumped to an impressive 14-0 lead against Heritage Hills in first few minutes of play. However they struggled to maintain the lead and came up short - losing 21-28 on Oct 8, 2010 at The Jungle. Junior Ben Braunecker began the scoring by returning the initial kickoff for a 94 yard touchdown return. Junior Miles Leonard had an impressive interception to stop Heritage Hills' first drive. Senior quarterback Grant Welp connected to senior wide receiver Kyle Schwinghammer with an impressive in-zone leaping touchdown grab. Sophomore running back Travis Schnell successfully rushed for a 2 point conversion. Junior wide receiver Lynk Kordes caught a touchdown pass from Grant Welp and senior kicker Jonathan Russell kicked the extra point.
